What alarms are there?

Data Alarm

To ensure data is synchronized regularly, the study team should use the alarm system available in the Insights Dashboard. This alarm is enabled by default when a cohort is created, and is shown in the "All Alarms" column.

When the “All Alarms” toggle is green, an alert will be sent out to the researcher by email, if/when a participant has not had data synchronized for over 36 hours. 

When this occurs, the the researcher should contact the participant and check the following:

  • The Companion app is open on the participant’s phone
  • Bluetooth is enabled on the phone
  • The CoughMonitor and the phone are in close proximity (within 3 feet)
  • The phone has Internet connectivity

Once the participant completes the monitoring, the alarm toggle on the dashboard should be disabled.

Please send an email to support@coughmonitor.com with the list of email addresses that need to receive the alarm notifications.

Once the participant completes the monitoring period, the study team should disable the alarm by turning the toggle to the left.

Questionnaire Alarms

To monitor the completion of questionnaire(s) by participants, there is an alarm system available in the Insights Dashboard. This alarm consists of:

  • A Companion app notification sent to the participant asking to open the Companion app and complete the questionnaire at 08:00 AM local time.
  • If the questionnaire isn’t completed by the participant, an email notification will be sent to the researchers at 12:00 PM local time.

    This alarm is enabled by default when a cohort is created and it’s visible in the “All Alarms” column when the toggle is green in the Insights Dashboard.

 

Once the participant completes the monitoring, the alarm should be disabled by turning the toggle to the left.
