The CoughMonitor will not reconnect with the Companion App after the battery has run out and been recharged

If the participant's CoughMonitor has run out of battery, been recharged, but refuses to reconnect to the Companion App, please ask the participant to do the following:

  • Open the Companion App and tap "Try Again"
  • If the CoughMonitor does not show "Connected", close and re-open the Companion App -- if the participant requires assistance with closing the Companion App, follow these steps:
    • If using an Android phone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the active app tray, hold, then let go; swipe up on the app to close it
    • If using an iPhone, from the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen, then swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close; swipe up on the app's preview to close it
