      How to stop Cough Monitoring for a participant

      To stop Cough Monitoring, unpair the CoughMonitor from the Companion App by following the steps below:

      1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled
      2. Ensure there is Internet connectivity
      3. Ensure the CoughMonitor and phone are within 3 feet of each other
      4. Ask the participant to open the Companion App, tap the menu located in the upper right corner of the screen, and then tap "Unpair Device"
      5. Tap "Finish" to go back to the home screen (monitoring will now cease)
        1. If there is data that needs to be synchronized when trying to unpair, a message will pop up stating that data synchronization is still in progress. Leave the CoughMonitor and phone in close proximity and wait a few minutes. Then, tap “Retry” and complete unpairing.

      After the device is unpaired, you must log out the participant from the Companion App using the following steps:

      1. Tap the menu located in the upper right corner of the screen 
      2. Tap “Log Out” (once the Log Out is complete, the Sign In screen will be displayed)
